No injuries or evacuations were reported at the Jersey City, NJ, fire.

Firefighters battled a blaze throughout the night at an acrylics plant in an industrial area of Jersey City, New Jersey.

Officials reported the fire broke out around 2:30 a.m. August 24 in the large factory on Culver Avenue, along Mallory Avenue.

Heavy smoke billowed from the scene, and a portion of the factory’s roof had visibly collapsed toward the back of the building.

No evacuations of residences in the surrounding area were required. Officials say there are no injuries.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
