Fire broke out in a silo containing 130 tons of grain Thursday morning at a malting plant linked to one of the UK's favorite brand of chocolate treats.
The Cedars malting factory, owned by Muntons Malt, makes malt for the centers of the ever popular Maltesers.
“The place is on fire,” Munton spokesman Peter Bee reported on the company’s Facebook page. “Any old excuse not to tip me eh!!!”
The fire broke out at the top of a 25-meter drying chamber. No other production at the plant was affected.
