Spectators gather to watch a car paint factory fire in Bangkok, Thailand.

A chemical plant fire Saturday in Bangkok, Thailand, destroyed the company’s inventory of raw materials needed make its trademark product, car paint.

“We are accelerating the process of ordering raw materials,” the Facebook page for Thainakornpaint and Chemical states.

By comparison, damage to factory machinery was limited, the Facebook page states.

Press accounts report that the fire began in the company’s warehouse before spreading to other nearby buildings. Using firefighting foam, the responders brought the fire under control within two and a half hours.

No injuries were reported.

The company told its customers that depending on the color involved future orders may be delayed.
