A two-hour fire Wednesday afternoon leveled a plastics recycling factory in west-central India.
According to the fire brigade in Indore, no personnel were present when fire broke out at the Lasani Plastics plant. The company recycles plastic scrap into granules in different colors as required.
The entire contents of the factory, including inventory, was consumed by the flames, a company official told the press. Firefighters suspect an electric short circuit as the cause of the fire.
