Warehouse Fire Breaks Out in Northeastern England

A fire Friday morning shut down production at a factory in Hull, England, specializing in bathroom replacement pods.

At about 7 a.m. fire broke out in the warehouse at Walker Modular, feeding on bathroom furniture and cardboard packing, according to Humberside Fire and Rescue. The on- site sprinkler system activated.

Workers immediately evacuated the 340,000 square foot facility. Firefighters equipped with two hose reels, four breathing apparatus, two thermal imaging cameras and small tools were dispatched.

Smoke rising from the roof was visible outside the factory. Workers were sent home for the day.
