A massive fire at a pallet plant in California’s San Joaquin Valley drew a mutual aid response Thursday morning.
Initial reports of smoke and fire came in at 2:30 a.m., the Reedley Firefighter’s Association reports. Crews arrived to find nearly 2,000 square feet of boxes and wooden pallets fully involved.
High winds quickly spread the flames.
Firefighters were on the scene nearly eight hours before extinguishing the blaze and continue to monitor the scene closely.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
