A explosion at a fireworks factory in India’s southern most state left seven people dead and two critically injured Friday morning, local media report.
The blast levelled the building in Kattumannarkoil, Tamil Nadu, that housed the 30-year-old business which had the correct permits to operate.
Workers were busy in preparation for Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights in which fireworks play a major role. One of the fatalities was the owner of the business.
