Fire destroyed more than $500,000 in property and stored product Wednesday morning at a soybean processing factory in southern Nepal.
At about 4 a.m., fire broke out at the factory in Tikapur on the banks of the Karnali River, local media report. Flames levelled a warehouse stocked with soybeans at the factory site, owners state.
Firefighters and other emergency personnel brought the blaze under control within two hours.
