Fire officials credit the building sprinkler system for the quick extinguishment of a fire Tuesday night at Yokohama Tire Corporation in Salem, Virginia.

At about (:30 p.m., Salem Fire & EMS responded to the plant and found smoke coming from the building. More than 15 firefighters from Salem and nearby Roanoke were dispatched to the scene.

Fortunately, the sprinkler system kept the fire contained and firefighter brought it under control within 10 minutes.

All personnel were safely evacuated from the area with no injuries, WDBJ reports.

The Salem Fire & EMS Fire Marshal’s Office ruled the fire accident. Damage was estimated at about $10,000.
