Social media reports a fire Thursday at a major electronics and software manufacturer in eastern central China.
The manufacturer, MSI, issued a press release reporting that a fire at its MSI Baoan factory in Kunshan, Jiangsu Province. No one was injured and the production line was not damaged, the release states.
“MSI activated its emergency measures and notified the fire department to deal with it immediately,” the release states.
Video posted on Reddit shows a massive cloud of smoke obscuring much of its 750-acre manufacturing complex, home of two factories and a research and development center. MSI concentrates on gaming, content creations, computers, peripherals and related electronics.
The MSI press release states that production continues as normal.
