Fire destroyed a warehouse stocked with 7,500 pallets of candy factory inventory Wednesday morning in northern France, local media report.

The fire in Bailleul, located in French Flanders, also spread to a road transport company next door affecting another 5,000 square meters of warehouse storage.

At about 9 a.m., fire broke out at the major French confectionery manufacturer Lutti. The collapsed warehouse contained the entire inventory for the Lutti brand nationwide.

Twelve workers were evacuated from the candy factory. Another 37 workers were evacuated from the burning Caillot Logistics road transport company next door.

Service departemental d’incendie et de secours du Nord (SDIS 59) responded to the blaze.
