Fire broke out at a commercial structure Thursday evening in Warden, Washington.

Risk of an ammonia tank explosion forced a local evacuation Thursday night when fire broke out at a potato dehydrating facility in eastern Washington state, local media report.

At about 8:30 p.m., authorities in Warden, 90 miles southwest of Spokane, issued a Level 3 evacuation notice for everyone west of Road U-SE and south of SR170. Police went door-to-door to notify resident of the immediate evacuation.

Residents were permitted to return home shortly after midnight. No injuries were reported.

The population of Warden is 2,900. It is not sure how many residents were required to leave.
