A huge fire that broke out at a recycling waste industrial estate on March 6 in North London is under investigation, reports North London News.

Ten fire engines and 70 firefighters tackled the blaze in Oakleigh Road, New Southgate. The fire broke out at a recycling waste industrial estate at 8.25pm. It was under control by 11.55pm.

A picture shared by the brigade shows the severity of the fire. The fire didn't affect any residential properties.

London Fire Brigade said in a statement: "Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters tackled a waste recycling plant blaze on Oakleigh Road in New Southgate.

“A corrugated building containing a large amount of general waste was damaged by fire. Thankfully, the fire did not affect any properties but there was heavy smoke in the local area.

"The Brigade was called at 20:25 and the fire was under control by 23:55.

"The cause of the fire is under investigation."
